Focus on technically sound design and delivery of municipal road and utility projects, from concept to project execution.

2. Digitalisation & BIM in civil and infrastructure engineering
- Helping establish BIM foundations and processes in classic civil engineering organisations
- Delivery and support of BIM pilot projects in infrastructure
- Definition of BIM use cases, workflows and data structures
- Model-based coordination, option comparison and quantity take-off
- Introduction of CDE structures, BCF-based issue management and approval processes
- Transferring pilot projects into day-to-day design practice
The focus was on the practical introduction of BIM in classic civil engineering organisations and on transferring pilot projects into day-to-day design practice.
3. Sustainability, CO₂ accounting & committee work
- Co-author of the German DWA guideline DWA-M 230-3 “Greenhouse gases in wastewater treatment and drainage systems” (publication planned for 2026)
- Development of the CO₂ accounting software InfraCarbon for municipal civil engineering
